Security:Taraba CP Visit NDLEA State Command seeks for interagency collaboration.

In a bid familiarize himself with security formations in Taraba and strengthen interagency cooperation, the Police Commissioner, Taraba State Ukachi Peter Opara, on Tuesday , accompanied by some of his Principal Officers, , paid a courtesy visit to the State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), CN Ali Obadiah Umar at the Agency’s State Headquarters, Jalingo. the Taraba State Capital.
The visit aimed at strengthening working relationship, fostering collaboration between the two law enforcement agencies.
Speaking during the visit , Ukachi Peter Opara, emphasized the importance of support to the NDLEA in the War Against Drugs abuse and trading, saying is responsible for most criminalities and other social vices seen in the society.

hinted that the absence of support by the government or any sister agencies or relevant stakeholders, to Agencies such as NDLEA would pose a threat to national security and the service. He commended the NDLEA Taraba State Command for its unwavering commitment to curbing Illicit drug trafficking and abuse.
The Police Commissioner reiterated his commands readiness to work hand in hand with the NDLEA in the fight against drug trafficking and abuse in order to ensure the safety and security of Taraba State residents, with their properties.
Earlier In his response, the Taraba State Commander of NDLEA , CN Ali Obadiah Umar who warmly welcomed the Commissioner of Police to the command office , says that it’s an honor to NDLEA state command.
He lauded the CP for his proactive approach in fostering Inter- Agency Collaboration and pledged his support and cooperation in the CP’s shared mission so as to uphold law and order in the society.
The Commander Alii Obadiah Umar assured the Commissioner of Police for a cordial and productive partnership.
The visit afforded the two agencies to exchange positive note, towards maintaining a united front Against Crime and Illicit Drugs peddling in Taraba State.
