H.E. Omar Alieu Touray, President of ECOWAS Commission, Feliciates The Gambia 60th Independence Anniversary

H.E. Omar Alieu Touray, President of the ECOWAS Commission, has extended warm congratulations to the government and people of The Gambia on the occasion of the country’s 60th Independence Anniversary.
In his message, President Touray commended The Gambia’s progress over the past six decades, highlighting its commitment to democracy, economic development, and regional integration. He reaffirmed ECOWAS’ unwavering support for The Gambia in advancing peace, stability, and sustainable growth.
“As The Gambia marks this historic milestone, ECOWAS remains steadfast in its partnership with the nation, fostering socio-economic development and reinforcing the ideals of unity and prosperity within the region,” President Touray stated.
He further praised the resilience and determination of the Gambian people in shaping a future anchored in democratic governance, economic transformation, and social harmony.
