In a significant diplomatic move, the Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to Nigeria, Francisco Edu Ngua Mangue, officially presented his credentials to the President of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, at the ECOWAS Commission headquarters in Abuja.

The event underscored the deepening ties between Equatorial Guinea and ECOWAS as both parties emphasized their commitment to regional stability and development.
During the meeting, Dr. Touray praised the leadership of Equatorial Guinean President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, highlighting his role in fostering peace and security in Africa.
He noted that all regions of the continent face challenges, and President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo’s leadership would be invaluable in addressing these issues. “Africa is a family, and the problems it faces have harmful consequences for its citizens. The role of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo in resolving them will be greatly appreciated,” Dr. Touray stated.

Earlier in his response, Ambassador Francisco Edu Ngua Mangue reaffirmed Equatorial Guinea’s commitment to working closely with ECOWAS to strengthen peace and development efforts across Africa.
