The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced a strategic collaboration with the Renewed Hope National Home Grown School Feeding (RH-NHGSF) Programme to advance the Renewed Hope Mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This partnership, spearheaded by Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, the Director-General/CEO of NIMC, and Princess Aderemi Adebowale, National Programme Manager of the RH-NHGSF, aims to ensure that every school child is enrolled in the National Identity Database and assigned a National Identification Number (NIN).
According to a statement by Kayode Adegoke, Head of NIMC’s Corporate Communications Unit, the initiative seeks to promote inclusivity, transparency, and accountability within the school feeding program.
“This partnership signifies a critical step toward the effective implementation of the Federal Government’s school feeding initiative,” the statement highlighted. It added that the integration of NIN registration into the program emphasizes the government’s commitment to improving children’s education, nutrition, and overall well-being while enhancing the nation’s Digital Public Infrastructure.
The NIMC reiterated its commitment to utilizing its expertise in identity management to foster sustainable development and equitable access to essential services for all Nigerians.
