ECOWAS Commission President, Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, Extends Warm Congratulations to President Bassirou Diomaye Fayeand the People of Senegal.

The President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, has extended his warm congratulations to President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and the people of Senegal on its 65th Independence Anniversary.
In his message, Dr. Touray commended Senegal for its longstanding role as a key member of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and emphasized the vital role the country continues to play in fostering stability and growth within the region.
“The strong and enduring relationship between ECOWAS and Senegal has been pivotal in advancing our shared goals for peace, prosperity, and sustainable development,” Dr. Touray stated. “Senegal has consistently been a leader in regional security, economic cooperation, and democratic values, and it is with great pride that we recognize these efforts.”
The message also reaffirmed the ECOWAS Commission’s commitment to continuing collaborative work with Senegal to further regional integration and development.
“On behalf of the entire leadership of the ECOWAS Commission,” he said, “I extend my best wishes for the continued success, peace, and prosperity of Senegal.”
