Dr. Yushau Sallau Honored with ‘Ambassador for Peace’ Award at IPD 2025.

As part of the International Day of Peace (IPD) 2025 celebrations, Dr. Yushau Sallau has been awarded the prestigious Ambassador for Peace Award by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), in partnership with the Peace Ambassador Centre for Humanitarian Aid and Empowerment (PACHE) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The ceremony, held in Maiduguri, Borno State, recognized Dr. Sallau’s longstanding commitment to peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and social advocacy. A vocal proponent of youth empowerment and a drug-free society, Dr. Sallau has been widely celebrated for his efforts in fostering reconciliation and national development through grassroots initiatives.

In his acceptance remarks, Dr. Sallau described the award as “a call to greater responsibility,” affirming his dedication to creating sustainable solutions to poverty and promoting a peaceful, inclusive society.

“I dedicate this honor to everyone working tirelessly for peace and progress,” he said. “This award strengthens my resolve to continue championing causes that uplift communities and foster long-term national growth.”

The IPD 2025 event spotlighted individuals and organizations driving meaningful change in conflict-affected regions and emphasized the global call for peace and justice.
