The Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has unveiled plans to expand its bread and water production facilities to six local government areas in Benue State in the first quarter of 2025. This initiative is part of an ambitious strategy to boost local economic activities and create employment opportunities in the state.
Dr. Raymond Asemakaha-CFA, the Managing Director and CEO of BIPC, disclosed these developments during a recent interview on Radio Benue. He revealed that the expansion will generate 472 direct jobs and 1,250 indirect jobs across the state, in alignment with Governor Hyacinth Alia’s vision for agricultural and industrial growth.
In addition to these initiatives, BIPC has announced plans to construct a Diaspora City and low-income housing estates to address the state’s housing challenges.
Dr. Asemakaha also highlighted the success of BIPC’s flagship product, ZEVA lager beer. The first truckload of the beer sold out in just two days, signaling strong market demand. The company is advancing its Food Basket Brewery project, which is expected to be publicly listed upon completion.
Furthermore, BIPC has positioned itself as the sole nail manufacturer in north-central Nigeria, with products available directly from its Makurdi headquarters. The company is sourcing agricultural commodities locally, providing much-needed support to farmers across the state.
These initiatives signify BIPC’s commitment to driving economic development and enhancing the livelihoods of Benue residents, contributing to the region’s positive economic outlook for 2025.
