AEP to Honour DCP Patrick Ejedawe for Exemplary Service to Esanland, National Security By Raymond Enoch
The Association of Esan Professionals (AEP), a non-partisan socio-cultural organisation of accomplished Esan sons5 and daughters across the globe, has announced plans to honour the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dr. Patrick Ejedawe, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of Esanland and his exemplary service to the Nigerian nation.
The honour, which affirms Dr. Ejedawe as a worthy son of Esanland, will be formally conferred at the 2025 AEP End-of-Year Party and Award Ceremony, scheduled for Sunday, December 21, 2025, at The Muson Centre, 8/9 Marina, Onikan, Lagos Island.
According to the Association, the ceremony will commence at 1:00 pm Nigerian time, with live streaming arranged to accommodate Esan people in the diaspora. The broadcast will be accessible at 8:00 am (New York/Canada), 7:00 am (Texas) and 5:00 am (California), underscoring AEP’s commitment to global inclusion and participation.
In a statement issued on behalf of its Executive Council and entire membership, AEP described DCP Ejedawe as a distinguished leader whose professionalism, integrity and dedication to national security have brought pride and honour to Esanland. The Association noted that his career in the Nigerian Police Force has been marked by discipline, exemplary leadership and an unwavering commitment to public service.
Founded in 2001, the Association of Esan Professionals is devoted to harnessing the intellectual, professional and leadership capacities of Esan sons and daughters worldwide to address critical challenges confronting their homeland, including poverty, illiteracy, insecurity and underdevelopment. The 2025 award ceremony will also feature the recognition of other distinguished Esan sons and daughters from across the world, selected in line with the Association’s tradition of celebrating excellence, innovation and impactful service to society.
