In a strategic renewed move to bolster strategic leadership, operational excellence, and compliance ,the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has successfully concluded a comprehensive capacity-building workshop focused on policy formulation, planning, and implementation for its top Management Staff and the 12 Zonal Commanding Officers.

The high-impact training, organized by the Corps in collaboration with Alnas Consulting Ltd, was designed to deepen institutional knowledge on critical areas such as policy development, strategic planning, performance evaluation, leadership, and team building. It forms part of a wider agenda to minimize road traffic injuries and fatalities while strengthening the corps’ operational effectiveness.

Declaring the training open, Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to staff development, describing it as a cornerstone in achieving the Corps’ safety and service delivery mandate.

“This training is not just a routine; it reflects our strategic intent to enhance the quality of leadership within the Corps and align our operational policies with global best practices,” he stated. “Building capacity among our top command is a vital step toward saving more lives on Nigerian roads.”

The workshop featured renowned policy analysts and strategic planners, who facilitated sessions on modern techniques in policy evaluation and implementation. Participants were equipped with tools to translate policy frameworks into measurable outcomes across Nigeria’s highway corridors.

This latest initiative is one of several capacity development programmes rolled out under the current leadership. Since assuming office, Corps Marshal Mohammed has prioritized training and personnel development, ensuring that FRSC officers at all levels are better prepared to deliver on their statutory responsibilities.

The training underlines the Corps’ strategic commitment to innovation, accountability, and impact-driven leadership in pursuit of safer roads and improved national mobility.
