ECOWAS Boosts Media Ties in Guinea-Bissau Resident Rep, Visit Television Station.

The ECOWAS Resident Representative in Guinea-Bissau, Ambassador Ngozi Ukaeje, has reaffirmed the regional bloc’s commitment to strengthening media collaboration in the country
Ambassador Ngozi disclosed this. during a visit to the Director General of the National Television of Guinea-Bissau (TGB), Mr. Ahmadou Djamanca, in his office recently .
She emphasized the need for greater visibility of ECOWAS programs, especially in its 50th anniversary that is underway this yeah.
As part of the visit, Ambassador Ukaeje toured the television station, gaining firsthand insight into its operations and challenges. Discussions centered on enhancing TGB’s capacity to effectively communicate ECOWAS’ regional integration and development efforts to the public.
Mr. Djamanca welcomed the initiative, reaffirming TGB’s commitment to supporting ECOWAS by providing broader media coverage of its activities.
He also highlighted key challenges facing the station, including limited resources and technological constraints.
The meeting marks a step forward in deepening cooperation between ECOWAS and the Guinea-Bissau national broadcaster, aiming to increase public engagement and awareness of regional policies that directly impact citizens’ lives and it’s institutions.
