AUST Abuja Confers Honorary Doctorate on NIMC Director-General

The African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja, has conferred an honorary doctorate on Engr Abisoye Coker-Odusote, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

The recognition was announced during AUST’s 10th Convocation ceremony on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, as stated in a press release by Dr. Kayode Adegoke, Head of the Corporate Communications Unit.

Engr Coker-Odusote received the prestigious award in honor of her transformative contributions to nation-building and her exemplary leadership in the identity management sector. Since assuming her role at NIMC, she has spearheaded groundbreaking advancements that have strengthened Nigeria’s identity management framework.

Expressing her gratitude, Engr Coker-Odusote thanked the university for the recognition and pledged her continued dedication to fostering national development through impactful initiatives.
