Chronicled as the Oprah Winfrey of Africa, perceived as a peace inspiration & heroine, clenched as a seed of light and courage in her generation, I have met a handful of people in my life, from several nationalities who admit that Amy BANDA’s heartiness is second to none.

It may be pretty strenuous to describe Amy BANDA The MIC MASTERPIECE known to many as THE VOICE, whose bequeathal in close to two decades, easily connects to words like passion driven, hardworking, creative, committed, dedicated, audacious and inspiring.

Amy Banda is a distinguished career woman in the Media who began in 2008 with LTM, followed by a move to STV in 2012, where she became known for hosting the flagship program “Voice of the Voiceless” plus relaunching the first ever morning TV show “The Good Morning Cameroon” which was launched for the first time by lulu Favour Efange of blessed memory on a certain December 13.

In May 2017, she joined Cameroon’s state-run media, CRTV, where she has launched programs like “The Holiday” with Ebeny Manfred and “The Artist”, while making significant contributions on “Day Break on Crtv”, “Family Matters,” & “Calling the Women”

Amy Banda’s dedication to the promotion of peace and advocating for the rights of vulnerable groups, such as widows in Cameroon made ace presenter of “Daybreak on Crtv” call her the mother of widows.

She also serves as the Vice Chair of Phenomenal African Woman – Cameroon, further emphasizing her commitment to social causes.

Her contributions to media and society have been recognized through multiple awards. Notably, in 2017, she was voted the Most Influential Young Cameroonian in Media, reflecting her significant impact on the country’s media landscape.

Some of the notable Awards and international recognitions Amy Banda attained are: The Victoria International Media Merit Award 2022 Peace Journalist of the Year, the SCOOP 2015 TV Social Programs Award, Afro-Biz Universal Award, Lifetime Achievement Award Gold Category in recognition of merit to Amy BANDA as a rising female journalism icon, 50 Most Influential Young Cameronians Award 2017, Regional & Continental Winner of Africa’s Most Influential Women Award 2017 in Accra Ghana, University of Minnesota School of Journalism Award 2016, the Organization Committee of the Cameroon Leadership Academy Award Gender Equality -Empowerment 2024 Award, 2024 WILPF Award of Recognition 2024, Lifetime Achievement Award by the Fobang Institute for inspiring strategies for peace.

Amy Banda Secure’s Firm Place in Hall of Fame of Cameroon’s Top Masters of Ceremonies as Media Personality and one of such is the Order of Malta Fundraiser Chaired by Cameroon’s First Lady, Chantal Biya.

She presented a Special Program on the 14th of August 2023 at the Hilton that named the President of the Republic H. E. Paul Biya ‘The wise man of Africa’ for sealing the
Greentree Agreement with Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo resolving the Cameroon–Nigeria border dispute over the oil and natural gas-rich Bakassi peninsula.

She was privileged to present that once in a lifetime occasion attended by a cross section of Ministers, with Leonard Châtelain who like her, was extremely happy the Bakassi peninsula since 14 August 2013 is an integral part of the country as Cameroon exercises full sovereignty over the territory.
