DENCOWA Empowers Members with Life-Changing Personal Development Training.

In a powerful stride toward empowering women within the armed forces community, the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DENCOWA) held a transformative personal development training on 11 September 2025 at Gen Olanisakin Hall, DEPOWA School, Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja.

Themed “Balancing Intentional Parenting, Entrepreneurship, and Personal Well-being,” the event provided a vibrant platform for participants to reflect on their multifaceted roles as mothers, businesswomen, and changemakers.

The session emphasized the reality that balance doesn’t mean perfection — it means intentionality. Through interactive discussions and practical strategies, attendees learned how to prioritize self-care while nurturing their families and growing their enterprises.

“It was an amazing time engaging with the dynamic members of DENCOWA,” one facilitator shared. “We delved deep into how women can thrive personally while uplifting their communities.”

The atmosphere was one of shared growth, inspiration, and collective purpose. As echoed during the event: When women are equipped, families thrive, businesses flourish, and communities are strengthened.

The training marks yet another milestone under the leadership of DEPOWA President, Oghogho Christopher, in building a strong, well-rounded support system for women in service families.
