XFP Afro Disability Arts Festival (ADAF) to Redefine Inclusion in Lagos, December 2026.

The XFP Productions has announced the debut edition of the XFP Afro Disability Arts Festival (ADAF), a landmark continental celebration set to hold in Lagos, Nigeria, in December 2026.
With the theme “Celebrating Ability Through Creativity and Culture,” the festival seeks to become Africa’s foremost platform for showcasing the extraordinary talent, creativity, and resilience of persons with disabilities (PWDs).
For decades, stereotypes and cultural misconceptions have shaped how society perceives disability. ADAF 2026 aims to transform these perceptions — turning narratives of limitation into powerful expressions of strength, artistry, and limitless potential.

“The XFP Afro Disability Arts Festival is more than an event; it is a vision realized — a commitment to dismantling cultural and societal barriers,” said Anthony Jay Williams, CEO of XFP Productions and ADAF. “Our mission is to build a world-class stage where artists and creatives with disabilities can freely express themselves, challenge bias, and achieve economic empowerment within the creative sector. This is a call for Africa to look beyond disability and embrace profound ability.”
The festival promises to be a multi-sensory cultural showcase, beginning with a colorful inclusive street carnival at a major Lagos venue. It will feature electrifying performances in music, dance, and comedy by both disabled and non-disabled artists, alongside a prestigious arts exhibition of paintings, sculptures, and photography by talented disabled artists.
Highlights will also include a fashion runway featuring adaptive clothing and models with disabilities — including persons with albinism and crutch users — and the crowning of Miss & Mr. ADAF, who will serve as ambassadors for inclusive arts and culture. The festival will culminate in a grand closing ceremony celebrating excellence in Disability Arts and unveiling new partnerships.
Beyond entertainment, ADAF 2026 aims to influence inclusive cultural policies across Africa, create jobs and income opportunities for PWDs in the creative economy, and position Lagos and Nigeria as global hubs for inclusive innovation in arts and culture.
“Our goal is to amplify the voices of artists and creatives with disabilities across Africa,” said Emmanuella Oluchi Ekwuazi, Project Coordinator for ADAF. “The festival will foster cultural inclusion, build vital networks, and connect artists, advocates, and sponsors. For corporate partners, this offers a unique opportunity to align with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 10 & 11) and demonstrate genuine social responsibility.”
XFP Productions is inviting corporate partners, government agencies, development organizations, and media outlets to join this transformative journey. Supporting ADAF 2026 means investing in ability, not disability — while advancing diversity, accessibility, and creative empowerment across the continent.
