In a bold move to position Taraba State as a key player in the nation’s and international investment landscape, Governor Kefas Agbu had launched the Taravest 2025 initiative today in Abuja as a Pre-Summit briefing with the members of the Diplomatic Community in Nigeria.

The speaking at the Pre -Summit outlined the state’s vibrant potential and strategic investment opportunities to the diplomatic and business communities in Nigeria.

The Governor emphasized that the Summit was grounded in four cardinal principles—peace and security, agricultural potential, energy and hydro power opportunities, and the burgeoning digital economy and tourism sector. He highlighted that, in the last two years, Taraba State had achieved a remarkable record of zero major security incidents, making it an increasingly stable environment for business growth.

A key focus of the Summit is showcasing Taraba’s vast agricultural potential, with 44,000 square kilometers of arable land ripe for investment. But the state’s opportunities don’t end with farming. The Governor also spotlighted Taraba’s rich energy resources, particularly its hydro power potential, as well as its growing digital economy and thriving tourism sector, all of which present a wealth of investment prospects.

Governor Agbu further emphasized that the Summit serves as a platform for Business-to-Government (B2G) and Business-to-Business (B2B) interactions, ensuring that investors will benefit from high returns, tax holidays, and duty waivers—making Taraba an attractive destination for both local and international businesses.

In his address, the Chairman of the Main Summit Planning Committee, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Godwin Elumelu, lauded the event as a reflection of Taraba State’s commitment to continuity and growth. He credited the positive business climate in the state to the government’s progressive policies under Governor Agbu’s leadership.
