Police Zone 7:AIG Olaiya Champions Citizen-Centered Policing as Command Celebrates Customer Service Week.

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 7 Headquarters Abuja, AIG Victor Olaiya, psc(+), has reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to citizen-centered service as Zone 7 joins the nationwide commemoration of the 2025 Police Customer Service Week.
Describing policing as a service-oriented profession, AIG Olaiya called on officers to view members of the public as “valued customers” in the shared responsibility of safeguarding lives and property. He urged personnel to use the week as a moment to reconnect with communities, strengthen public trust, and reinforce the Force’s values of professionalism, empathy, and accountability.
The celebration aligns with the principles of SERVICOM, which emphasize dedication to prompt, transparent, and fair service delivery, as well as respect for the rights and needs of all Nigerians.
AIG Olaiya commended various Police Commands under Zone 7 for hosting open-door engagements, outreach initiatives, and other community-centered programs aimed at bridging gaps between law enforcement and citizens.
He praised the leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, noting that under his watch, service excellence, integrity, and human rights remain at the core of policing efforts nationwide.
Expressing gratitude to the public for their cooperation and continued support, AIG Olaiya assured that the Force is resolute in its mission to improve service delivery and deepen police-community partnerships. He also urged the public to report suspicious activities through official channels, pledging swift response and confidentiality.
In a final note, AIG Olaiya issued a stern warning to criminally-minded individuals, stressing that the Force remains vigilant and committed to preserving law and order across the Zone.
