NUJ Taraba Council Hosts GM, Radio Nigeria( Gift FM) Jalingo, Seeks Strategic Media Collaboration.

In a strategic move to strengthen media synergy and expand the frontiers of information dissemination in Taraba State, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Taraba State Council, today played host to the management of Radio Nigeria (Gift FM) Jalingo at the Oyakhire Press Centre.

The courtesy visit, which took place Tuesday morning, saw the NUJ Council Chairman, Comrade Mathew Eliud Jen, warmly receiving the General Manager of Radio Nigeria Jalingo, Mr. Emmanuel Jimy, and members of his entourage.

Welcoming the delegation, Comrade Jen described the visit as timely and significant, emphasizing the important role Radio Nigeria plays in showcasing the state’s rich potentials to the wider public. He praised the station for its commitment to balanced reporting and effective public engagement.

In his remarks, Mr. Emmanuel Jimy stated that the visit was part of efforts to foster stronger ties with the media community in Taraba and to explore opportunities for collaboration with the NUJ Council. He reiterated the station’s resolve to partner with key stakeholders in enhancing public service broadcasting.

“We believe in collective responsibility when it comes to informing, educating, and enlightening the public. Partnering with the NUJ Council will no doubt boost our shared mission,” Jimy said.

Responding, Comrade Jen reaffirmed the readiness of the NUJ Taraba State Council to support and collaborate with broadcast organizations. He noted that the Union would continue to act as a bridge between media houses and government institutions, especially in advocating for logistical support and resources to improve media coverage of government programs and activities.

The meeting, which was attended by senior members of both the NUJ Council and the management team of Radio Nigeria, ended with a renewed commitment from both parties to deepen professional ties for the benefit of the people of Taraba State.
