NUJ FCT Congratulates Former NAWOJ President Evelyn Onyilo on Prestigious African Leadership Award.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council, extends its heartfelt congratulations to former President of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Comrade Evelyn Onyilo, on her well-deserved conferment of the African Leadership, Strategic, and Development Award.

In a statement signed by Comrade Jide Oyekunle, Secretary of the NUJ FCT Council, the award was described as a fitting recognition of Comrade Onyilo’s exemplary leadership, visionary contributions, and unwavering commitment to the advancement of journalism, good governance, and sustainable development across the African continent.
Even beyond her tenure in office, Comrade Onyilo continues to demonstrate a commitment to excellence and strategic engagement, earning her widespread recognition as a development ambassador and respected voice whose influence resonates far beyond national borders.
The NUJ FCT Council noted that the honour is not only a personal achievement for Comrade Onyilo, but also a source of pride for the entire journalism community within the FCT and across Nigeria.
