Nigeria to Host 13th ECOWAS African Wrestling Tournament in Celebration of ECOWAS 50th Anniversary.

Nigeria is set to host the 13th ECOWAS African Wrestling Tournament in Abuja from March 6-8, 2025, as part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the West African regional body.
In collaboration with the National Sports Commission (NSC), the tournament will take place at the Velodrome, Package A of the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
The event will bring together top wrestling talent from across the West African subregion.
NSC Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko and Director General Hon. Bukola Olopade expressed their enthusiasm for Nigeria’s role as the host nation, assuring that the country will deliver a hospitable and world-class event.
This championship is expected to strengthen regional sports ties while showcasing Nigeria’s growing stature as a hub for international sporting events.
