Kingsley Enwelim Nwanze Steps Down as Spokesperson to Hon. George Adegeye Olawande After Three Years of Service By Raymond Enoch
In a significant political communication development within the Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, Ambassador Kingsley Enwelim Nwanze has formally withdrawn his professional services as Spokesperson to Hon. George Adegeye Olawande, marking the end of over three years of engagement marked by strategic communication, public advocacy, and constituency-focused messaging.
The decision, announced in a New Year eve press statement released on Wednesday 31st December2025, signals what Nwanze described as a “timely and responsible” step taken after deep reflection and extensive consultations.
According to the statement, Nwanze’s tenure was driven by a strong commitment to people-centered leadership, democratic engagement, and effective political communication aimed at advancing the collective interests of constituents in Amuwo Odofin. He noted that his service was carried out with professionalism, discipline, and an unwavering belief in leadership as a vehicle for service, impact, and sustainable societal progress.
However, the former spokesperson revealed that evolving political dynamics and a growing misalignment of values and future political direction necessitated his decision to step aside.
“Leadership equally demands clarity of values, consistency of purpose, and principled alignment,” Nwanze stated, explaining that preserving personal integrity and principled leadership informed his choice to disengage from the role.
While stressing that the decision was not taken lightly, Nwanze emphasized that stepping aside would allow him to maintain a clear sense of purpose as he redirects his professional energy toward broader civic and community-focused initiatives.
As part of his next chapter, Nwanze disclosed plans to deepen his involvement in people-focused leadership advocacy, political media practice, and grassroots community engagement. He will also play a central role in the management and strategic growth of Festac Weekly Community Magazine, described as a leading community publication within the constituency.
Political observers note that this development comes at a time when early consultations and alignments ahead of the 2027 political cycle are quietly gaining momentum. While Nwanze confirmed that discussions regarding his future political engagement are ongoing, he assured that any decisions would be communicated to the public “clearly and responsibly” at the appropriate time.
Despite the departure, the former spokesperson expressed appreciation to Hon. Olawande for the opportunity to serve, acknowledging the professional relationship and experiences gained during the period of engagement. He also thanked colleagues, stakeholders, community leaders, and residents of Amuwo Odofin for their support and cooperation over the years.
As Nigeria steps into the New Year, Nwanze reaffirmed his commitment to constructive civic engagement, responsible political communication, people-centered leadership, and service to humanity, regardless of the platform through which he is called to serve.
The statement was signed and dated January 1, 2026, officially closing a chapter while opening new pathways in civic and political engagement within Amuwo Odofin and beyond.
