Exclusive: Fraudsters Operating Fake Facebook Account Posing as ECOWAS President

In a recent alarming development, an unauthorized and fraudulent Facebook account claiming to represent His Excellency Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, President of the ECOWAS Commission, has been brought to public attention. The fake account, which uses the President’s name and photo, has raised significant concerns among the general public and the online community.
In an official statement, the ECOWAS Commission has clarified that Dr. Touray does not maintain any personal Facebook presence. The statement further emphasized that he has not authorized anyone to establish, manage, or publish posts on his behalf on Facebook.
