ECOWAS Envoy Meets Benin’s Vice-President, Strengthens Regional Ties

In a move to reinforce regional cooperation, ECOWAS Resident Representative to Benin, Ambassador Amadou DIONGUE, paid a courtesy visit to Vice-President of the Republic of Benin, Her Excellency Madame Mariam Chabi Talata.

The high-level meeting was focused on fostering West African integration, with both dignitaries exchanging views and discussing pressing regional challenges.

Ambassador DIONGUE briefed the Vice-President on ECOWAS-led initiatives in Benin, highlighting efforts to align with the organization’s broader vision and preparations for the ECOWAS Golden Jubilee celebrations in 2025

Reaffirming ECOWAS’s commitment to Benin, the envoy sought guidance from Vice-President Talata, who provided strategic insights to enhance collaboration between the country and the ECOWAS.

The visit underscores ECOWAS’s ongoing efforts to strengthen unity and development across West Africa.
