DSS, Nigerian Army Strengthen Ties to Tackle Insecurity in Kaduna.

In a strategic move to bolster national security and counter rising threats in the region, the Director of the Department of State Services (DSS) Kaduna State, Mr. Hakeem Abiola, has paid a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Abubakar Sadiq Muhammed Wase, at the Division Headquarters in Kaduna.

According to a statement signed by Lieutenant Colonel Shuaib Umar, Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 1 Division Nigerian Army, Mr. Abiola, who congratulated Major General Wase on his recent appointment, emphasized the DSS’s readiness to partner with the 1 Division in a joint effort to combat insurgency and banditry within the Division’s Area of Responsibility (AOR). He stressed the importance of synergy among security agencies in tackling the complex security challenges facing the nation.

Responding, Major General Wase reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to a non-kinetic approach to security, highlighting collaboration with sister agencies and the state government as a key strategy in maintaining peace and stability.

“This partnership is in line with the Nigerian Army’s drive to foster cooperation and collective responsibility among security stakeholders. Together, we can build a secure and peaceful Kaduna,” the GOC stated.

The visit featured an interactive session and the presentation of a souvenir, symbolizing the renewed spirit of inter-agency cooperation.
