In a notable demonstration of evolving international media diplomacy, the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire in Malta has commended the high-level engagement between Paradigm News International and the ECOWAS Commission, describing it as a strategic and timely initiative that advances good governance, regional integration, and responsible public communication.
The commendation follows the courtesy visit by the Chief Executive Officer and Publisher of Paradigm News International, Mr. Raymond Nyayiti Enoch, to the ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja, where he congratulated the new Commissioner for Internal Services, Dr. Habibu Yaya Bappah, saying that such action of solidarity visits signals citizen-focused service delivery, and the indispensable role of credible media in countering misinformation while supporting ECOWAS Vision 2050.
In an official statement, the Ivorian Honorary Consulate in Malta noted that Paradigm News International’s initiative demonstrates “a clear alignment with the principles of good governance, regional integration, and responsible public communication.” The Consulate stressed that such engagements are increasingly critical in a fast-changing geopolitical and media landscape where transparency, factual reporting, and public trust are paramount.
Beyond its commendation the Consulate expressed forward-looking interest in Paradigm News International as a credible and strategic platform for collaboration, dialogue, and information exchange involving the Republic of Malta, the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, and ECOWAS. This emerging trilateral media and governance interface, it observed, holds strong potential for strengthening regional cohesion and informed public discourse across Africa and Europe.
“The emphasis placed on countering misinformation, upholding responsible journalism, and advancing ECOWAS Vision 2050 is particularly noteworthy,” the statement added, reflecting the growing recognition of reputable media organizations as strategic stakeholders in democratic consolidation, public accountability, and regional resilience.
The Consulate further welcomed the openness demonstrated by the ECOWAS Commission toward constructive media partnerships, describing the interaction as a positive signal of institutional integrity, ethical leadership, and inclusive governance at the regional level.
Analysts say the development positions Paradigm News International beyond conventional news reporting, reinforcing its role as a bridge between public institutions and citizens at a time when credibility, accuracy, and inclusive governance are under heightened scrutiny across West Africa.
As ECOWAS continues to advance its long-term regional integration agenda, the commendation from the Côte d’Ivoire Consulate in Malta marks a significant milestone—underscoring how responsible media engagement can strengthen institutions, reinforce transparency, and contribute meaningfully to sustainable regional development in West Africa and beyond.
