In a powerful message marking Africa Day 2025, Ambassador Zainab Mohammed has called on Africans across the globe to celebrate the continent’s enduring strength, unity, and visionary spirit.

In a statement made available to the press, the renowned diplomat, economic sovereignty advocate, and Pan-African strategist described Africa as “the cradle of humanity, a wellspring of culture, innovation, and unbreakable spirit.”

“From the strength of our ancestors to the dreams of our youth, Africa stands tall—resilient in the face of challenge, rich in heritage, and bold in ambition,” Amb. Zainab declared. “This is a day to reaffirm our unity, to amplify African voices, and to envision a future shaped by our own hands.”

Highlighting the importance of leadership, peace, and progress, she urged Africans to use this day to inspire meaningful change and build a legacy for future generations.

“Africa is not just a continent—it is a force, a promise, and a rising light in the world,” she said, concluding her message with a rallying call for solidarity and a shared vision for a prosperous future.

Africa Day, observed annually on May 25, commemorates the founding of the Organization of African Unity in 1963, now the African Union, and serves as a moment for reflection and celebration of the continent’s achievements and aspirations.
