Among the distinguished guests was His Excellency Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, President of the ECOWAS Commission, who not only attended the historic occasion but also seized the opportunity to engage in significant diplomatic discussions.
On the sidelines of the inauguration, Dr. Touray held bilateral meetings with His Excellency Bernard Quintin and Lord Ray Collins of the British Parliament, Under Secretary of State for Africa. These high-level discussions highlighted ECOWAS’s commitment to fostering stronger relations with the European Union and the United Kingdom in tackling pressing regional challenges.
