Abuja Nigeria Hosts the 3rd ECOWAS Permanent Representatives Committee (PRC) Meeting

Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria, had on the 10th of December 2024 welcomed delegates for the 3rd Meeting of the ECOWAS Permanent Representatives Committee (PRC).

The meeting chaired by H.E Ambassador Musa Sani Nuhu Nigeria Permanent Representative to the ECOWAS Commission brought together high-ranking officials and ambassadors from member states to discuss and review memoranda to be presented to the respective ECOWAS Commissioners and also considered agenda for the 93rd Ordinary Session of Council of Ministers Scheduled for the 12th-13th December 2024 in Abuja.

H E Omar Alieu Touray President Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) was represented at the meeting by the Vice President of the Commission, H.E. Mrs Damtien TCHINCHIBIDJA, in his welcome remarks recalled that the meeting of the ECOWAS Council of Ministers held in Bissau in July 2023 had designated the PRC as an advisory body to the Council of Ministers, thereby strengthening its role in the management of the Community’s affairs.

This pivotal event reflects ECOWAS’ unwavering commitment to fostering unity and development among its member nations.
