Malta’s growing role on the global diplomatic stage took fresh momentum as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire to Malta, Mrqs. Anthony C. Coleiro, publicly reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between both nations.
Speaking on the sidelines of an official engagement in Valletta, the Honorary Consul extended warm greetings and appreciation to Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Robert Abela following his address to members of the Honorary Consular Corps.
The Prime Minister’s remarks, which underscored Malta’s dedication to multilateralism and international cooperation, were described as timely and forward-looking.
Mrqs. Coleiro particularly welcomed the Prime Minister’s renewed emphasis on Vision Malta 2050, noting that the long-term strategic framework aligns strongly with global partnerships anchored on dialogue, cooperation, and mutual respect.
He stressed that the Consulate of Côte d’Ivoire remains fully committed to supporting Malta’s foreign policy objectives while deepening diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between Malta and Côte d’Ivoire. According to him, such cooperation is essential in an increasingly interconnected world where nations must work together to address shared challenges and opportunities.
The Honorary Consul further highlighted the importance of sustained engagement between Europe and Africa, describing Malta as a strategic bridge for international partnerships and Côte d’Ivoire as a key West African partner open to collaboration.
