Côte d’Ivoire Honorary Consulate in Malta Strengthens Security Through Strategic Partnership.
By Raymond Enoch
In a strategic move to bolster diplomatic security and risk management, the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire in Malta has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Blue Border Holdings Ltd, a leading security and risk-management firm. The partnership formalizes a framework of collaboration to safeguard visiting delegations, officials, and diplomatic personnel on the island.
The MOU covers a wide spectrum of security and risk services. These include uniformed and non-uniformed personnel, close-protection teams, surveillance operations, K9 units, and infrastructure security. It also extends to Recognized Security Organization (RSO) services such as port facility assessments, ISPS compliance support, and specialized training exercises. Maritime and port security operations, anti-piracy measures, vessel and superyacht protection, and coordination with Transport Malta and local port authorities are also included. Emergency response capabilities, including medical standby teams, ambulance support, and on-site first aid, further strengthen the agreement.
Risk advisory services are a key component of the collaboration. These include geopolitical and threat assessments, travel-risk advisories, and crisis management support, ensuring that both personnel and assets are safeguarded during official engagements.
Mr. Anthony C. Coleiro, Honorary Consul of Côte d’Ivoire in Malta, highlighted the importance of the partnership:
“This collaboration strengthens the Consulate’s capacity to provide secure, efficient, and professional support for our official delegations and visiting dignitaries. It reflects our commitment to international cooperation, safety, and the highest standards of diplomatic hospitality.”
Donald Brownrigg, Managing Director of Blue Border Holdings Ltd, echoed this sentiment:
“We are honoured to support the Consulate and its distinguished delegations. This MOU enables us to deliver comprehensive security solutions tailored to the unique needs of diplomatic missions and high-profile visitors in Malta.”
Effective immediately, the agreement will remain in force for three years and can be renewed by mutual consent. It reflects a shared commitment to professional collaboration, risk mitigation, and the protection of individuals and assets during diplomatic engagements.
